RE-USED
RE-EVOLUCIÓN & RE-INTERPRETACIÓN IN
NEW ALBUM FALL WINTER 2024
THE ESSENCE IN RE-USED
Music is my primary form of communication. When I write, I transcend the traditional conventions of composing through instruments. My songs almost always come to life while I'm walking, immersed in my own world. It's normal for them not to be tied to a specific style, granting me complete freedom across musical genres.
My compositions reveal themselves as fleeting visions. The melody and message are sudden visions, like painting sounds that maintain their personality and immerse themselves in the world of my emotions, dreams, and desperations.
With Re-Used, my most intimate emotions overflowed. I didn't want it, and I felt exposed and unable to continue controlling them. There was no other way but through suffering, and as simple as it may sound, now I feel consumed. So, naturally, the production of Re-Used took its own path as a multi-genre album, fueling my versatility as a musician and producer.
The Evolution of an Indie Visionary Artist
This album challenges the contemporary obsession with channeling everything and achieving perfection. In a world dominated by labels and "musical coherence," where maintaining streams and entering algorithms seems to be the only right way for marketing to make music, I don't understand how we indie artists adopt these marketing obsessions. We imitate star strategies without realizing that we don't play in the same league. It would be smarter to play our own games, changing and inventing new rules suitable for us, without the need to navigate that red ocean that makes us invisible.
Through different musical styles, I can reinterpret my artistic freedom. It's not a whim or a need to go against the current. My influences from the music of the '80s, '90s, and artists like Madonna, David Bowie, or Duran Duran boldly reinvented their musical styles from album to album.
We've forgotten that music isn't measured in "streams" or "likes." Music is chills on the skin, magic; tears in the eyes are healing, and dreaming in a fantastic world is impossible without music. Music is the universal language; it's salvation. How many miracles does music perform?
Towards Imperfection
One of the most intriguing aspects of Re-Used is the idea that a song is never truly finished. A song is not a painting. The souls of my compositions adapt and evolve constantly, maintaining their relevance regardless of the genre.
I've spent too much time seeking perfection, and with Re-Used, I discover that I no longer identify with it. Today, perfection cancels out personalities. It's a beacon that reflects the same light for everything and everyone. How much time wasted!
Prototypes, demos, auditions, drafts, and sketches are pure ideas. In Re-Used, I try to preserve the essence of the messages and stop before like an "Interruptio coitus." Strengths and weaknesses are simply truths.
I've dedicated years to improving in music production, as a DJ, and in the music business. This dedication to artistic growth is reflected in the album's aesthetics, capturing the essence of my evolution. Re-Used is a testament to unrealized dreams and opaque realities, with the hope of finding what one seeks.
