L' Aperitivo: A matter of Mix. Incredible selection of music with the "cymbals" of Faber J. Rheder's kitchen
'L'Aperitivo,' 'Marquette,' or 'FJR' are nothing but pseudonyms for Faber J. Rheder's authentic vision, where the ingredients in his kitchen creations, like the musical selections in his DJ sets, are simply 'A Matter Of MIX'."

Unveiling L' Aperitivo: Faber J. Rheder's Culinary-Music Icon in Barcelona
In the vibrant heart of Barcelona's music and culinary scene, Marquette's Aperitivo (aka Faber J. Rheder, also known as FJR) has carved an extraordinary path, redefining the concept of the "Italian aperitivo." Rooted in a family of restaurateurs, FJR transformed Tuesday nights into a unique blend of Italian flavors and captivating melodies for over five uninterrupted years.
Marquette's Aperitivo revolutionized the idea of an "Italian aperitivo," becoming a culinary and musical experience that left an indelible mark on Barcelona's nightlife.
Faber J. Rheder, also known as FJR, achieved the perfect fusion of lifestyle, gastronomy, and music, becoming an icon that defined an era in Barcelona.
Initiated 15 years ago as an integral part of the "Marquette" restaurant owned by FJR, the Aperitivo grew beyond the confines of the venue, becoming a cultural reference in Barcelona's nightlife.
Marquette's Aperitivo tempted palates with authentic delicacies, from Milanese or seafood risottos to handmade pastas like troffie with Genovese pesto or pappardelle with porcini mushrooms. The incredible Marquette pizza, crispy and rich with top-quality ingredients, brought genuine delights to the table, all inherited from FJR's parents' original recipes.
Marquette & Aperitivo etched its name as a cultural phenomenon, leading Faber J. Rheder to collaborations with renowned clubs like "Metro Disco BCN," "Saturgay," "Salvation," or "DBoy" from the Matineé group. They organized distinctive events that went beyond mere nights out, celebrating the full taste and essence of parties, paying homage to the culture, taste, and music that characterize the soul of Marquette, the alter ego of DJ Producer Faber J. Rheder.
Although Aperitivo is no longer a fixed event in Barcelona, its impact persists, leaving a void that could be creatively filled. Despite the restaurant's closure five years after opening, the Aperitivo tradition lived on, shifting to other establishments and evolving into DJ sets hosted in various Barcelona venues and Ibiza's WOW restaurant (the sequel to Marquette).
FJR's Aperitivo embodied the perfect fusion of lifestyle, gastronomy, and music, becoming an icon that marked an era in Barcelona. Anticipating what the future holds, the promise of a new chapter could be the key to reigniting the flame for those who loved and continue to love this timeless experience. Meanwhile, the best of music, from Chill Out to House in its various forms—Deep, Funky, Tech, and precious Downtempo gems from that era—are revisited on FJR's official Soundcloud.
"After all, the names 'L'Aperitivo,' 'Marquette,' or 'FJR' are nothing but pseudonyms for Faber J. Rheder's authentic vision, where the ingredients in his kitchen creations, like the musical selections in his DJ sets, are simply 'A Matter Of MIX'."
